1 Day Hands on Workshop for Teens & Kids

Hey Teens & Kids… Check out our 1 day August Workshop.

This hands on workshop will focus on cold reads, commercials, etiquette, table settings, everyday manners, 2 part commercials, building confidence and public speaking taught by Debby Tapia.

Debby has been with The Maile School for over 25 years and has been an instrumental part of the school’s success. She is a certified Etiquette Consultant trained at the American School of Protocol in Atlanta, Georgia.

If you are new to the industry or already a working actor this informative workshop will be beneficial and fun. If you are looking to try something new and build confidence then come and check it out. You will not be disappointed.

This is the last one of the summer. Wednesday August 2nd from 10am to 1pm and held here at The Maile Image, Modeling & Acting located at 999 S Orlando Avenue in Winter Park.

All students perform and train on camera as well as perform in front of a live audience at the end. We invite all parents in the last 30 minutes for a review, watch the video and to see all the students perform live.

All skill levels are welcome and for ages 7 to 16 years and the entire workshop focuses on acting and building self-esteem.

Mall at Millenia Summer Fashion Camp

The Maile Image, Modeling & Acting School and The Mall at Millenia are teaming up again for their annual Summer Fashion Modeling camp.

Now on its 13^th year the fashion camp is held exclusively at The Mall at Millenia and presented by experts from The Maile School.

All students train in modeling and learn about the exciting modeling industry. This hands on camp program covers posture, poise, runway, fashion shows, TV modeling, auditioning, photo posing, interviewing and etiquette.

All students experience a professional photo shoot with an industry photographer and walk the runway in a real fashion show and model in the Mall at Millenia’s back to school fashion show.

Many mall merchants such as Bloomingdales, Buckle, GAP, Macys, and Lilly Pulitzer to name a few will showcase their new merchandise and trends for the season.

There are two back to school fashion shows at Grand Court on Saturday, August 5^th and show times are 1pm to 3pm.

Fashion Camp dates are July 17^th through July 27^th Monday through Thursday of both weeks. Ages 10 to 18 years 1pm to 3pm and 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

MEET MAILE SCHOOL GRADUATE

ADELE SPAGNOLO

Maile School Image, Modeling & Acting Graduate Adele Spagnolo is an aspiring actor and model.

She started her career in 2011 at the age of 11 years when her mom Patty enrolled her in the Image and Confidence Development program because Adele wanted to try modeling. Her mom thought the Image program would be the best one to start with to help build her confidence and communication skills. Upon completion she continued on into the Teen Modeling Program here at our school as well as the Summer Fashion Camp held at The Mall at Millenia and then on the different levels of acting programs here at The Maile School.

Some of her industry bookings include work for Bloomingdales, Macys, JCP, Orlando Science Center, Styles for Less, Rue 21, Francesca’s Closet, Buckle, Clinique, Urban Decay cosmetics and Mall at Millenia.

Adele is now 17 years old, in 11^th grade and is home schooled. She plans to graduate 6 months early. She enjoys fashion, make up artistry, special effects make up, knitting, and sewing. Adele says, “I really wanted to be a model but after taking the various acting programs I found a love for acting but I will do it all”.

The Maile School was so impressed with Adele and asked her to apply for our Internship Program for volunteer hours. Of course we hired her and now 3 years later she is still part of the team.

Adele wants to stay involved and in this business booking jobs and plans to attend Joe Blasco Makeup Center. After that she plans to go to the University of Central Florida and study Business. With her Business degree and wants to open up her own salon. Adele is the daughter of Patty and Rosario from Maitland.

Meet Image Instructor & Professional hair designer

JAMIE WATTLES

Professional Hair Designer Jamie Wattles has been with Catwalk Hair Design for 7 years. She studied Cosmetology at Woody’s Hairstyling School in Orlando. Since graduating in 2010 she has mastered a wide variety of hair techniques including, dimensional hair coloring, different color techniques, hair cutting, keratin treatments, and waxing. Jamie believes in continual education and strives to stay at the forefront of her field with her knowledge of new products and services available in order to provide excellent service to her clientele. Jamie is exceptional at listening to her clients and providing them creative ideas when creating a new look.

Jamie teaches the hair care design class at The Maile School in the Image and Confidence Development program. She educates teen girls on how to keep their hair healthy and gives them a better understanding of product knowledge. She also styles the models hair for fashions shows, events and photo shoots. Jamie has a true passion for doing hair.
