Maile Graduates Working: Connor Pryce

Maile acting graduate Connor Pryce

Acting graduate and newcomer to Orlando, Connor Pryce, 12 years old, brings with him a bit of film experience from California to New Orleans.

Most recently you can see Connor in a co-starring role as Daniel Baldwin’s son in A Little Christmas Business, available now for this Christmas on Amazon.com. Connor was thrilled to work with the cast of Daniel Baldwin, Tammy Barr, Lorenzo Lamas, Corbin Timbrook, Leslie Easterbrook and BO Hopkins…true pro’s that welcomed a young man and supported him through his 23 lines of dialogue.

Connor can also be seen in a featured role in Home Front, a Millenium Films, shot in New Orleans, starring Jason Stathan, James Franco, Kiera Knightly and Kate Bosworth; look closely as the trailer plays, you will see him at the playground as the bully’s best friend.

About Connor

Born and raised in California, Connor has a passion for action films, comedy, improv and being in front of the camera. He particularly likes the camaraderie of film making and aspires to become a true filmmaker…acting, directing and producing…’Stallone style’. Connor is a student at Windermere Prep school with an elective in drama. He is thankful for Maile Acting school and blessed to have an early start to his career.

Maile School graduate Jack Griffo stars in Nickelodeon’s new show The Thundermans

Jack Griffo as ‘Max Thunderman’ on Nickelodeon’s The Thundermans

Maile acting graduate and performing troop member Jack Griffo has found much success in the entertainment industry. Jack is one of Nickelodeon’s rising stars in the new show The Thundermans as ‘Max Thunderman’.

The Thundermans is a superhero family who is trying to keep their super-human quirks under wraps and lead a normal life. Jacks character ‘Max’ is mischievous to no end. He has the same superpowers as his twin sister Phoebe, but he uses his for whipping up gadgets and potions in his evil lair instead. Jack calls Max his best role so far. “He’s definitely fun because he’s unlike anything I’ve done before,” he said.

The Thundermans airs on Nick Saturday nights at 9/8c.

About Jack

Jack first stepped into the spotlight booking his first commercial at the age of two. He took acting classes here at The Maile School and joined our performing troop. Jack acted in A Christmas Story at Orlando Repertory Theatre and To Kill a Mockingbird at Theatre Downtown. He later decided to audition in LA. During a two-week visit, he signed with an agent and booked roles in two commercials. That was the signal that he should stay longer, and he has been based in Los Angeles for three years. Jack also has a keen interest in music. His acoustic covers have been successful on YouTube, and a version of “Hold Me“ has more than 2 million views. He said he believes “Hold Me“ clicked because it was done on the spur of the moment without professional flourishes.

Jacks impressive resume includes guest starring roles on Jessie, Marvin Marvin, See Dad Run, and Kickin’ It to name a few. Jack will also star in a brand new Nickelodeon movie called Jinxed which will premiere on the channel on November 29, 2013 at 7pm.

Maile School graduate Haley works the runway at Park Avenue Fashion Week 2013

The 7th Annual Harriett’s Park Avenue Fashion Week 2013 is a big week for Fashionistas in Winter Park Fl. The boutiques along Park Avenue held special in store fashion events such as trunk shows, designer meet-and-greets and VIP parties, special sales and more. The event culminated on Saturday, October 19th, with a spectacular runway show in Central Park’s West Meadow with a 20,000 –square-foot air-conditioned tent with a runway and lounge area similar to New York’s fashion week held in Bryant Park.

Maile School graduate Haley Simons modeled in this years Park Avenue Fashion Week runway show for Red Carpet Couture. This is her second year modeling for the event. Haley has also modeled for Miami International Fashion Week.

Haley has been involved with modeling and acting since the age of 5, but has focused more on modeling since reaching her current height of 6’0″.

Haley is a 17 year old senior at Leesburg High and a freshman at Lake Sumter State College. She is currently the senior class secretary, president of Triad club, and also stays active with ASA elite dance company competition team. She plans on attending Florida State University next year unless she lands a big modeling contact in New York City! Mom Cari, says, “Thanks to The Maile School for always helping her out!”

Disney star Stefanie Scott is back with her exclusive workshop at the Maile School.

The Maile School is excited to announce graduate Stefanie Scott from Disney’s A.N.T. Farm will be back teaching her exclusive hands on workshop for kids and teens. These hands on training workshops will be held on Saturday, December 14th from 10am to 1:30pm or 2:30pm to 6pm and will cover scene study, character development, making your scenes believable and a live performance. Stefanie will select scenes from A.N.T. Farm for each student to work on and will individually help them prepare for the live performance.

During the workshop parents will meet with Stefanie’s mom Diane Scott for a question and answer session on the industry and then watch their kids perform. Following the performance Stefanie will sign autographs and pose for pictures with the students.

These workshops always sell out so don’t miss your chance to train with Stefanie!!

Maile Acting Graduates Work: Siblings Angela & Christopher Winiewicz

Siblings working together in the industry!

Maile acting graduates Angela and Christopher Winiewicz have been staying busy in the industry. Angela booked commercials for Orlando Federal Credit Union, Lake Myrtle Dental, Ball Pets, LegoLand Windsor Water Park, Disney Golden Oak Resort, Citgo, and two trips to Nassau Paradise Island for the Tourism Board as well as a PSA for Tampa Theater. She shot a commercial and printwork for Legoland and is now one of their child ambassadors getting to do all kinds of fun promotions. Her print work includes landing the cover of Playground Magazine with a spread on the inside, Bealls, & RonJon Surf Shop. Christopher is 6 years old and in the 1st grade. He has done commercials for Legoland Florida and Legoland Windsor Water Park. His print work includes Belks, Bealls, Pinch-a-Penny, Harcourt Publishing for a math book and he was featured in Parenting magazine as “Cameron” from Ferris Buellers Day Off for their back to school issue. Congrats to the Winiewicz siblings.

Aubrey Peeples on ABC’s Nashville

Maile School acting graduate and performing troop member Aubrey Peeples landed a recurring role on ABC’s hit show Nashville playing the role of Layla. Nashville’s 2nd season premiered September 25th and Aubrey’s first episode titled “Never No More” will air on Wednesday, October 2nd at 10pm.
Aubrey also recorded a song as Nashville’s Layla Grant which is now available on iTunes! Click below to find her song on iTunes.

Aubrey has had much success in the business. She also will play Nicolas Cage’s daughter in the film Tokarev and appear in Star-Crossed, a CW series. You may remember Aubrey was in the smash movie Sharknado, as Claudia the daughter of Tara Reid and Ian Ziering.

In 2007, she turned to film and had her first role in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Jr. In high school she started making short trips to Los Angeles each year to break into that market as well as continuing to work in the Southeast, building her resume with several guest-starring and co-starring roles in Drop Dead Diva, Charlie’s Angels, Burn Notice, Austin & Ally, and a recurring role on Necessary Roughness as well as several commercials.

Vincent Martella Walks onto The Walking Dead

Maile School acting graduate Vincent Martella joins the cast of the AMC hit The Walking Dead. (Season 4, which will begin airing this October) The Phineas and Ferb star will be playing a character named Patrick.

As quoted in Entertainment Weekly, Vincent says, “He’s right around Carl’s age but a little bit older. He’s one of the new people who Carl gets a little closer with. Carl hasn’t really had anybody his age, so now you kind of get to see Carl’s relationship with people his own age and that’s one of the things that Patrick is bringing to the show.” Patrick is one of the new characters brought into the Prison after the end of Season 3. It’s unclear if he is someone from Woodbury, or if he is brought in from an outside group of survivors”. Vincent also says, “I’ve been a big fan of The Walking Dead since day one”.

Vincent is from Deland and found success here in Central Florida at an early age singing and acting. He started his career here at The Maile School landing local commercials before moving to a bigger market. Some of his impressive credits include commercials for Pringles, Glad, Zaxbys and American Express. His feature films include Role Models starting Paul Rudd and Baitshop with Billy Ray Cyrus, television work for The Mentalist, and a starring role as Greg on the Chris Rock show Everybody Hates Chris. Martella is best is known as the voice of Phineas Flynn on Disney’s hit animated series Phineas and Ferb.

Tony Robinette Lands National Aflac Commercial

AFLAC!!! with Tony Robinette!

Congrats to Maile School acting graduate Tony Robinette for booking a SAG National Commercial with Aflac. The commercial titled “Rehearsal” first aired on ABC during the college football game between University of Georgia and Clemson. In “Rehearsal”, the Duck is giving it his all but just can’t get the delivery right. Tony plays the speech coach for the iconic spokesduck.

Following its debut, “Rehearsal” has been airing on all major national networks, cable networks and local television stations across the country.

Tony has been performing professionally since he was 16 years old and has found much success in the entertainment industry. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2001. Tony is a graduate of The Maile School’s basic and advanced level courses. His credits include a guest role on the CBS popular series “How I Met Your Mother” and a role in the feature film “Spring Breakers”. Some of his other commercial booking credits include, Nokia, ESPN, Captain Morgan, HGTV, Hungry Howie’s Pizza, Florida Lottery, Brighthouse, Checkers, Holler Chevrolet, Heyneedle Furniture, Winn Dixie, Champs Sporting Goods, Disney. We are proud of Tony for all his hard work and look forward to seeing more success from him in the future!
