Michael Cairns is a self-taught photographer with an extensive art background. He has been working professionally for over 30 years in his Orlando photography studio and has worked with clients ranging from screen legend Vincent Price to the Backstreet Boys. Current clients include the Florida Hospital, Orlando Health, Orlando Ballet, Commodores, Orlando Magic, The Golf Channel, Walt Disney World, Sanford-Burnham Institute, David Maus, Filutowski Lasik and countless others. His personality and ability to warm people up quickly makes him perfectly suited to bring out the best in everyone.

Angela Bell Deems was born in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Jacksonville University. She is a graduate of the adult on camera acting and advanced improv programs at The Maile School. She is a working actor and model and stays busy booking jobs. Angela says, “Growing up in and around the arts, has taught me how to find the beauty in everything. I have always enjoyed taking pictures and have always had a camera in my hand, long before I ever thought of making it a profession.”

Haley Brooke Walker on NBC’s Chicago Med

Congrats to Maile School acting grad Haley Brooke Walker. She landed a guest starring role on NBC’s Chicago Med that aired on Thursday, October 27th.

Haley started going on auditions when she was a baby and mom Patina says, “At the age of three, Haley continued to say over and over again she wanted to act on TV. I gave in and found The Maile Acting School and enrolled her at the age of 4 in the kids on camera acting program.”

By age 7 Haley had a two page resume which included student films, musical theater, nonunion commercials, and Disney print work as well as her training at The Maile School.

Haley relocated to California at the age of 8 when she booked a role for a pilot show through Actors Access. Haley is a member of SAG-AFTRA. Her industry credits include Pillsbury National, State Farm with Aaron Rogers, Toyota RAV4 Disney, AT&T, AAA, Cheetos, Canon, and Sleepy Hollow. Also recurring roles on True Blood and Code Black as well as the film Smashed from Sony Pictures Classics, and several nonunion pilots.

Haley is a competitive gymnast and enjoys swimming, singing, piano, guitar, and dance. She is a straight A student and received The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth Award.

The Maile Image, Modeling & Acting School is the hub of the entertainment industry and home to John Peros Casting. The Maile School has been working with students and training talent since 1982. Hundreds of TV commercials, films, industrial and print campaigns are cast at The Maile School by John Peros Casting.

John is the owner of John Peros Casting, one of the top casting companies in the South East. He has worked on projects & casted for clients such as Publix, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Papa Johns, Nickelodeon, MTV, ESPN, All Major networks, as well as episodic TV, films, music videos & print campaigns. The Maile School is happy to host hands on Commercial Audition Workshops for adults, teens and kids presented by John Peros. Killing Reagan

Congratulations goes out to Maile School’s Acting Instructor and Vocal Performance Coach Jim Braswell. He landed a role on National Geographic’s Killing Reagan. Killing Reagan explores the events surrounding the shocking assassination attempt on newly elected President Ronald Reagan by John Hinckley Jr., starring Tim Matheson as President Ronald Reagan and Cynthia Nixon as Nancy Reagan. Jim plays Dr. Manfred Lichtman. The filmed premiered on Sunday, October 16th but be sure to check your local listing for other Killing Reagan additional airtimes.

Jim says, “The life of an actor is hard and sometimes the victories are few but they are victories nonetheless. The struggle is real. Now on to the next audition!”

He received the Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Male Performance and Best Play—Drama for Thomas Jefferson: My Master, My Slave, My Friend at the 2016 Fringe Festival. His performance was nothing short of incredible.

Jim has over 25 years of experience in the industry and was a judge for 5 ½ years at Disney’s American Idol Experience. He offers one on one vocal performance coaching here at The Maile School helping talented singers take their performance to the next level. Tony Robinette lands role on Fresh Off The Boat

Tony Robinette lands role on ABC’s Fresh Off The Boat

Exciting news for Maile School Acting & Advanced Acting graduate Tony Robinette. He landed a role on the ABC comedy hit show Fresh Off The Boat.
Tony was happy to share his good news and said, “I just booked an awesome funny co star on a prime time TV show that’s has been on my target list for 3 seasons. Whoop Whoop!”
We are so proud to help spread the word on Tony.

It’s the ’90s and 12 year old, hip-hop loving Eddie (Hudson Yang) just moved to suburban Orlando from DC’s Chinatown with his parents (Randall Park and Constance Wu). It’s culture shock for his immigrant family in this comedy about pursuing the American Dream.

Fresh Off the Boat stars Randall Park as Louis, Constance Wu as Jessica, Hudson Yang as Eddie, Forrest Wheeler as Emery and Ian Chen as Evan.
Fresh Off The Boat is based on Chef Eddie Huang’s memoir Fresh Off the Boat and airs on Tuesdays nights at 9pm on ABC.

Tony can also be seen in the comedy film The Best Thanksgiving Ever playing the role of a cashier.
His other industry credits include Spring Breakers (2012), Robo-Dog (2015) and commercials for Aflac, Honda, Hungry Howies and Universal to name a few.

Talent Show : Showcase Your Talent

SHOWCASE YOUR TALENT

Join The Maile Image, Modeling & Acting School and The West Oaks Mall for the Showcase Your Talent talent show on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1pm.

Open to singers between the ages of 6 to 17 years. Each contestant will have 90 seconds to perform a song.

One winner per age group (6 to 11 years & 12 to 17 years).

Free to enter. Application deadline is November 12^th or once limit is reached.

Winners will receive a full tuition acting scholarship to The Maile Acting School (up to a $610 value) and a future live show performance as well as signing with a local screen actors guild agent (upon completion of the acting program).

Our panels of judges will score all performers on Stage Presence, Originality, Singing Range & Technique.

The Maile Image, Modeling & Acting School has been working with students and training talent since 1982. Some successful grads include pop star Mandy Moore, Jack Griffo as Max Thunderman on Nickelodeons The Thundermans, Norm Lewis on ABC’s Scandal, Michael Campion on Fuller House and Stefanie Scott on Disney’s Ant Farm.
